Last week, I shared the first five:
Today, I’m sharing the next five:
Your vision, mission, and values are not just fluff—they’re foundational. Without them, it’s hard to make aligned decisions or lead your team with confidence. Once you’re clear on these, you’ll find decision-making becomes faster and easier because you have a framework to guide you.
Yes, you’re the boss—but that doesn’t mean you have to do it all. If you’re still buying the toilet paper (true story!), it’s time to delegate. Focus on your strengths and trust your team to handle the rest. Your time is too valuable to be micromanaging.
You can’t pour from an empty cup. If you’re not looking after your health and wellbeing, you’re putting your business at risk. Burnout leads to resentment and, eventually, throwing in the towel. Make time for what fills you up.
Hiring people who align with your values is key to a drama-free workplace. One of my core values is simplicity—I don’t have time for theatrics. When you stay true to your culture, the wrong people usually weed themselves out.
Uncertainty is part of business, but clear and consistent communication can reduce stress and fear. When things are tough, be transparent, reassuring, and proactive. This is your time to lead with strength and clarity.
