Something my mum used to ask me all the time was, “Are you looking after yourself?”
So now, I want to ask you the same question: Are you? Are you actively making time to fill your cup and recharge?
Scheduling “me time” might feel counterintuitive, but let’s be honest—no one’s going to step in and say, “It’s your turn. Go take an hour to yourself.” If it’s not scheduled, it doesn’t happen. That’s just the reality.
I’m a huge fan of scheduling—my Google Calendar is my lifeline. Whether you use a paper diary, a wall calendar, a whiteboard, or your phone, make sure your schedule includes time to rest and recharge.
In the early days of running my first business, I was constantly overwhelmed. When someone first suggested I schedule time for myself, I practically yelled, “You’re crazy! I’m too busy!”
And honestly, it was hard. Not just setting the time aside—but actually following through. I didn’t think I could do it. But once I started taking small steps, everything changed. I found mental clarity, freedom, and joy in creating space for myself in my week. It was life-changing.
I want that for you, too.
If you haven’t joined my signature time management program Guilt Be Gone, I’d love to see you at the upcoming live sessions on July 27 & 28. This will be the final intake of the program for 2021.
Across two nights of live online training, I’ll help you design your ideal week—and more importantly, create a plan to make it happen.
If you know how important it is to fill your own cup but struggle to actually do it, this is your first step.
Come join me. You deserve it.
