For years, my “ideal week” looked brilliant on paper.
Colour-coded calendar blocks. Back-to-back productivity. Every hour accounted for.
If you’d looked at it, you’d think, wow, she’s got it all together. 😉
But in reality that version of my ideal week wasn’t actually ideal at all. It was a badge of honour for how much I could cram in. It martyred how hard I was working and was built to impress (god knows who 🤷♀️), not to serve me.
And it left me exhausted.
Our ideal week shouldn’t be for show! There are no trophies at the end for whoever worked the hardest!
These days, my ideal week isn’t about squeezing more in but instead consciously choosing what matters most and making space for it.
It’s about being realistic.
So here’s your gentle nudge to create your own ideal week that serves you, not your to‑do list.
Ask yourself:
💭 How many hours can I actually work and still show up as my best self?
💭 What rhythms help me feel most creative or energised? Mornings, afternoons, evenings?
💭 Where am I craving more time with family, friends, myself?
💭 What can I stop doing, delegate, or delay to make space for the things that fill me up?
💭 How much sleep do I really need to function well (and am I getting it)?
When you start looking at your time through that lens, you’ll begin designing an ideal week that doesn’t just look good, but feels good too.
