I came across a stat recently that made me do a double-take: 👉 58% of customers won’t return after a bad experience. And yet… only 42% of businesses are consistently asking for feedback.
That means most of us are crossing our fingers and hoping we’re getting it right. And look, I don’t know about you—but “hope” is not the growth strategy I’m aiming for.
Here’s what I’ve come to learn:
The answers we need are usually right in front of us.
But to access those insights we’ve got to be brave enough to ask.
That’s why we introduced something simple but powerful in my business: Feedback Fridays.
Every Friday, we create space—on socials, in class, through quick conversations—and invite feedback. Nothing fancy. Just: “We’re listening. Got something to share?”
Sometimes we get a nugget of gold. Sometimes we get crickets.
But what matters is the consistency. When people know they have regular opportunities to be heard, they will speak up. And that feedback has helped us tweak, shift, and improve—often before a problem grows into a reason someone walks away.
If you’re serious about growth (the kind that feels aligned and sustainable), feedback isn’t optional. It’s essential.
So ask often. Listen deeply. And make feedback as routine as invoicing or reconciling the books.
Because if you’re willing to hear it, feedback might just be your business’s secret weapon.
Got thoughts on this? I’m all ears. Drop a comment or send me a message—I’d love to hear what works for you.
